Klimaski & Associates, P.C., represents individuals, members of the press and organizations concerning information in the government's possession.  The federal Freedom of Information and Privacy Act enables persons and groups to obtain information from the government through a "FOIA" request.  The Act also provides the right to ensure that the government keeps personal data confidential.  In one FOIA case, Klimaski & Associates, P.C., successfully represented a news organization requesting the federal Bureau of Prisons to provide the amounts of damages it paid in civil lawsuits.
